The quickest and easiest way to start building a site (After you acquire a domain and hosting) is to pick a well coded CMS platform. Some of these included Joomla, Drupal, Magento, Moto, and more. These are all great systems, but I personally love everything about WordPress, so that is what we are going to develop our site with. As you read through the site you’ll grow in knowledge in experience making you able to talk the talk, so to speak, with putting together a simple site.
